JAZZ GUITARIST JOYCE COOLING WILL GROOVE IN TUCSON
The Tucson Jazz Society has been hitting the bull's-eye lately with its line-up of contemporary jazz offerings, attracting some of the nation's top talent in the genre. Sunday, August 31, as part of a Labor Day weekend doubleheader, TJS will present the Joyce Cooling Group with special guest Matt Marshak at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

Humane Society of Southern Arizona has New Hours of Operation
Effective Friday, August 15th, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona will have new hours of operation. This change is being made after much evaluation to not only better accommodate the needs of the community; but also, our animals and personnel. The new hours will help us reduce expenses and also allow us more time to give one on one care to the many animals in need.

SAHNAS BRINGS GREEK INFLUENCES TO JAZZ SHOW
A popular and versatile Phoenix jazz group is rapidly gaining status as a favorite among Tucson jazz fans, as well. Sahnas, as brothers Thano and Demitri are known, will make an encore appearance for the Tucson Jazz Society on Sunday, August 2 at JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort. Joining them will be classical guitarist Gabriel Ayala.

James Patrick selected as a 2008 Up & Comer
James Patrick, owner of JP Photography and Marketing Coordinator for Stantec Consulting's Tucson Office, has recently been selected and featured by the publication Inside Tucson Business as one of their 2008 Up & Comers. The Up & Comers Special Section ran in the June 9th issue of the publication and an award ceremony was hosted on June 25th to honor the nominees.

Art Center Design College of Albuquerque wins 2nd place in National Student Advertising Competition Finals
AAF District 12 & AOL Promote Student Creativity and Talent Through National Student Advertising Competition - AAF District 12 of the American Advertising Federation, is pleased to announce The Art Center Design College of Albuquerque has earned 2nd place in the final round of the 2008 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) held in Atlanta, Georgia June 8-9.
