Art Center Design College of Albuquerque wins 2nd place in National Student Advertising Competition Finals
AAF District 12 & AOL Promote Student Creativity and Talent Through National Student Advertising Competition - AAF District 12 of the American Advertising Federation, is pleased to announce The Art Center Design College of Albuquerque has earned 2nd place in the final round of the 2008 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) held in Atlanta, Georgia June 8-9.

Caliber Hires Web Veteran Maria DelVecchio
The Caliber Group, a brand marketing and public relations firm based in Tucson, has hired Maria DelVecchio as interactive department manager. In her new role, she is responsible for planning and implementing online advertising, websites and interactive campaigns.

Summer Drawing for Small Business Profitability Improvement

The Economy of Jazz and You
Recognizing the arts as vital to its economy, the state of Massachusetts recently appointed a first-in-the-nation Creative Economy Director to help expand its creative industries sector. Comprised of nonprofit groups and for-profit firms that center on visual and performing arts, film, advertising, architecture, and tourism, the creative economy is responsible for creating 100,000 jobs in Massachusetts. Beyond direct employment provided by arts-and culture-related businesses and nonprofits, the vitality of the local arts and cultural scene is increasingly viewed by development specialists as key to attracting knowledge workers expected to drive 21st century economies. CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: 13th Annual Compass Behavioral Health Care Dynamic Duo Awards
Do you know a Dynamic Duo? A Dynamic Duo is "A pair of people, who, working together, have done something which makes our community a better place to live.” Past nominees from the media/agency community include Som Lisaius and Gary Dhaemers for their work on 88-CRIME, Bobby Rich and Brad Behan, and Terry Brashear and Melanie Larson (when they were with the Northwest Explorer.) Nominations are due by 5 PM on July 14, 2008. The nominees will be honored at the 13th Annual Dynamic Duo Awards Gala on September 21, 2008 at the Tucson Convention Center. Nomination forms may be downloaded online at www.compasshc.org or received by calling (520) 882-5608.
